What is it?

About one foot long, ear candles are made of natural fabric or paper rolled into a slender, hollow cone and dipped in wax.

How does it work?

Because of the cone shape of the candle,the smoke is pulled down in to the ear canal causing it to warm up and loosen the wax and any other debris. As the candle heats up, it creates a suction by creating a vacuum in the ear canal. The mixture of the heat and the vacuum draw out the wax and other debris from the ear canal into the base of the candle. You may hear cracking which is the removing the wax as the candle burns down although the warmness feels very relaxing during the process.
